Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OC Idol, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service. These terms apply to all users, including those using free features and those with paid subscriptions or credits.

Service Description

OC Idol is an AI-powered platform for creating and managing original characters (OCs). Our service allows you to: create detailed character profiles with personality traits, backstories, and visual attributes; generate AI-powered anime-style images of your characters; maintain a personal gallery of your OCs and generated images; optionally publish characters to a public gallery; and export images for use in personal or commercial projects. We use third-party AI models for image generation and continuously work to improve the platform.

User Accounts

You must create an account to use OC Idol. You agree to: provide accurate and complete registration information; maintain the security of your account credentials; promptly notify us of any unauthorized access; and accept responsibility for all activities under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction) to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use OC Idol lawfully and responsibly. You will not: create content depicting real individuals without consent; generate illegal, harmful, or exploitative content; create content sexualizing minors or depicting child abuse; use the service for harassment, hate speech, or discrimination; attempt to bypass content filters or safety measures; use automated tools to mass-generate content or scrape the platform; reverse engineer the service or AI models; interfere with the platform's operation or other users' experience; misrepresent AI-generated content as human-created; or violate any applicable laws or third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove content and terminate accounts that violate these policies.

Intellectual Property

The OC Idol platform, including its design, code, features, branding, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the platform without permission. Third-party AI models and libraries are subject to their respective licenses. Your use of the service does not grant you rights to our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the service as intended.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to OC Idol at any time for: violations of these Terms; fraudulent or abusive activity; extended inactivity; legal requirements; or business reasons with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time through settings. Upon termination: you lose access to the platform; your content may be deleted after a retention period; purchased but unused credits may be forfeited unless required by law; and certain provisions of these Terms survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

Disclaimers

OC Idol is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee: uninterrupted or error-free service; specific quality or consistency of AI-generated images; that generated content will meet your expectations or requirements; compatibility with all devices or browsers; or permanent availability of features or the platform. AI-generated images may contain artifacts, inconsistencies, or unintended content. Review all generated content before use. Use of the service is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OC Idol and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including: loss of profits, revenue, or data; loss of creative work or characters; reputational harm from generated content; costs of substitute services; or any damages arising from your use of AI-generated content. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of $100 USD or amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions limit liability exclusions, so some limitations may not apply to you.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction, subject to consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction. You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive class action rights unless prohibited by law. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect service changes, legal requirements, or business practices. We will post updates with a revised effective date. For material changes, we will provide notice through the service or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated Terms, you should stop using the service and may request account deletion.
